RTP describes the average percentage of money wagered that will be paid back to you when playing Casino games. That average indicates the long-term returns you could expect, given as a percentage.

When a player's first two cards are of identical value (e.g. A-A or jack-ten) it is possible to place an additional bet equal to the original wager, creating two separate hands. The term for this is a 'Split'.

The number of splits a player can make depends on the blackjack variant they are playing. When you are dealt two aces, you may only receive one additional card per ace after splitting.

After the player has been dealt two cards, a bet equal to the original wager can be placed, with the player then receiving exactly one card to improve their hand. This is known as 'Doubling Down'.

If the dealer shows an ace as their first card, an optional wager is offered to the players, known as 'Insurance'. An insurance bet is up to 50% of the player's original wager.

If the dealer's second card completes a Blackjack for the dealer (eg: a 10-value card), the insurance bet wins.

Insurance bets are paid at odds of 2:1.

A hand containing an ace valued at eleven is a soft hand. For example, a hand made up of a six and an ace could be a soft 17.

A hand that does not contain an ace valued at eleven is a hard hand. In this instance, a hard 17 could be made up of a ten and a seven.

A European Roulette wheel has 37 numbers: 1 to 36 and zero (0).

Wagers placed on individual numbers and/or small combinations of numbers are known as Inside Bets, and are generally higher-paying bets. Outside Bets consist of groups of 12-18 numbers per wager.

A Random Number Generator (RNG) is a system that can generate a sequence of numbers, or bits, that is completely devoid of any patterns or biases. This ensures that items or numbers in the sequence can never be predicted, making the sequence indistinguishable from a truly random sequence.

Yes, you can toggle the display of Casino games in the desktop client using the option ‘Settings’ > ‘Lobby’ > ‘Lobby Display’ > ‘Show Casino and Vegas Games’. Mobile users can toggle the display of Casino games by accessing ‘Settings & Tools’ via the ‘More’ menu, then scrolling to ‘General Settings’ > ‘Show Casino and Vegas Games’.

There is a maximum of four Casino games tables (Blackjack and Roulette) for all players. These limits are independent of poker table limits, so players may have four Casino games tables open while also having the maximum-allowable number of poker tables open.

Casino games tables do count towards the overall maximum number of windows allowed in the game client.

Single Player tables are private, just for you to play against the dealer.

Multi-Player tables are open tables where you may sit and chat with other players, playing against a dealer (just like in a live casino).

Yes. Just follow these instructions in the desktop client:

• Log-in to the game software
• In the main lobby, click on the Settings menu
• Click Global > Sounds
• Uncheck 'Enable dealer voice for casino games'
  

Casino games tables are currently restricted to using the default table background. Players’ custom table backgrounds are not currently available at any Casino games tables.

If you try to 'Double' or 'Split' without the required funds during a hand, an 'Insufficient Funds' message will appear, alongside the option to deposit.

Up to 15 minutes. After 15 consecutive minutes of sitting out, players are removed from their seats.

If a player loses connection, or leaves a game while they have an action pending, the game is considered to be incomplete. If this occurs during a single player game, you’ll be reminded to finish any incomplete games when you next log in and play, within 24 hrs of the game creation. If players do not return within the specified period of time, the games will be automatically finalised. All Multi-Player games are automatically finalised.

You are always paid for wins collected before a disconnection; many games support the ability to complete the game for you once disconnected. This varies by game provider. These games will play on your behalf -to complete any pending actions, rather than forfeit the unfinished portion of the game.

1. Single-Player Games
   Any incomplete single player games that are not completed within 24 hours of the game creation will be automatically finalised by the system as described below.
   
   Slot Games
   Many Slot games are able to finalise an incomplete game by making random selections in bonus rounds and playing out any pending Free Spins on your behalf. Some, however, do not have this capability and must register a forfeit for the unfinished portion of the game.
   
   If a player does not log in to complete the game within 24 hours, we will close the game as dictated by the game provider: some providers may know the outcome of the game up to the point of disconnection, others may know the final outcome, and others may refund the original bet. 
   
   Table Games
   When possible, incomplete table games will be played out on your behalf, using the best possible strategy that does not require more funds. Leaving a single player table after chips have been placed, but before the Deal or Spin has taken place, will result in bets being returned.
   
   In Blackjack, whenever you time out, or disconnect, the game will remain open for 24 hours from the moment the game started. If you are not able to return within the specified period, the system will make the best possible move(s) on your behalf, that do not require more funds, until the round is over.
   
   In Video Poker, games are completed using auto-hold suggestions.
   
   In Heads Up Hold’em, the system will check for you whenever possible. If further funds are required, it will fold on your behalf.
   
   In Stars Triple Poker, if further funds are required, it will fold for you.
   
   In Baccarat and Roulette, once bets are placed the game will auto-complete, as no further player action is required.

2. Multi-Player Games
   Whenever you time out or leave a Multi-Player game, the system will make the best move possible on your behalf, and will continue to do so until you return or the round is over. This works differently for each game variant, as follows.
   
   Table Games
   For Blackjack and other games, each time you time out the system will make the best possible move on your behalf until you return or the round is over. See details of Single Player Blackjack above for more.
   
   In Heads Up Hold’em, you will check whenever possible. If further funds are required, it will fold on your behalf.
   
   In Stars Triple Poker, if further funds are required, it will fold.
   
   In Baccarat and Roulette, once bets are placed the game will auto-complete, as no further player action is required.
   
   If you leave or are disconnected once your actions are complete, but before the deal or spin has finished, the game will complete on its own. You will be able to see the results in the hand history.

3. Jackpot Games
   Jackpot contributions are completed in their entirety when a bet on a jackpot spin is accepted. The jackpot value will be updated immediately, and the bet will be taken from your balance. If you then leave or become disconnected, you will be shown a replay of the outcome when you reconnect.

Instant Bonuses are special funds that you can use to place bets on real money Casino games. The bonuses can be converted to real money by earning the required number of redemption points or placing the required number of bets on eligible games.

The number of redemption points or bets required to convert an Instant Bonus to real money will be displayed when the bonus is offered.

Instant Bonus funds cannot be withdrawn before they are converted to real money.

If you have more than one Instant Bonus on your account at a time, you can manage the priority order in which your bonuses will become available for you to use through the ‘Manage Bonuses’ section in the game software. In the desktop client, open the Cashier and select ‘My Bonus Status’ > ‘Instant Bonuses’. On mobile, access the ‘My Stars’ menu.

Please complete either of the following steps:

An Instant Bonus is awarded to players, based on certain criteria:

• As a reward to eligible players
• As part of a promotion
• During Instant Bonus special offers for a limited period of time

Only one Instant Bonus may be in use at any one time in an eligible game.

You can manage the order in which multiple bonuses become available via the ‘Manage Bonuses’ section of the software. In the desktop client, open the Cashier and select ‘My Bonus Status’ > ‘Instant Bonuses’. On mobile, access the ‘My Stars’ menu, then select ‘Bonuses’.

If you have multiple Instant Bonuses available for use in a particular game, each bonus will be added to the available balance as soon as the previous bonus has either met its wagering requirement, has been surrendered, paused, expired or fully used up.

To redeem your Instant Bonus to real money, you will need to meet the bonus’ wagering requirements. These requirements may involve earning a specified number of redemption points or placing a certain number of bets on eligible games. 

The wagering requirements for converting an Instant Bonus to real money will be displayed when the bonus is offered. You can also check this information, along with your progress towards meeting those requirements, bonus expiry date, eligible games and more in the ‘Manage Bonuses’ section. To find this in the desktop client, open the Cashier and select ‘My Bonus Status’ > ‘Instant Bonuses’. On mobile, access the ‘My Stars’ menu, then select ‘Bonuses’.

Once we issue an Instant Bonus, if you are logged in (or as soon as you log in) to your account, you will see a pop-up message with three options: ‘Accept’, ‘Decline’ and ‘More Information’.

The pop-up message will inform you of the number of redemption points you need to earn or bets you need to place, and the deadline for earning them, in order to convert your Instant Bonus to real money.

You can ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ your bonus, or request ‘More information’. The latter will take you to the Instant Bonus management section on your account with more details, including eligible games.

You need to ‘Accept’ the Instant Bonus in order for the bonus funds to become available to you in the eligible games and to start progressing with the wagering requirements needed to convert the bonus to real money.

If you choose to ‘Decline’ the Instant Bonus, the pop-up window will disappear and no further actions will be needed.

Open the ‘Manage Bonuses’ section in order to see all of your Instant Bonuses, their progress, value and expiry date. To find this in the desktop client, open the Cashier and select ‘My Bonus Status’ > ‘Instant Bonuses’. On mobile, access ‘My Stars’, then select ‘Bonuses’.

If an Instant Bonus is available for use in a game, the available game balance will display the combined total of your real money balance, plus the highest priority Instant Bonus available. When placing a wager, funds will be taken from the currently available Instant Bonus balance first, and from your real money balance second.

If you received an Instant Bonus which required a real money deposit, and after some play you decide to that you no longer want it, or prefer to withdraw, you can surrender it by pressing the 'Surrender' button on the relevant bonus in the ‘Manage Bonuses’ section. To find this in the desktop client, open the Cashier and select ‘My Bonus Status’ > ‘Instant Bonuses’. On mobile, access ‘My Stars’, then select ‘Bonuses’.

While all Instant Bonuses will offer the option to ‘Surrender’ the bonus, in some cases there will be no amount credited back to you by doing this because either the losses made with the bonus balance were greater than the original real money portion (purchase amount) of the bonus, or if the Instant Bonus was only made up of a non-purchased bonus amount.

Every Instant Bonus has an expiry date and certain wagering requirements. If these requirements are not met, or only partially met by the expiry date, your Instant Bonus will expire and you will no longer see it on your account.

Yes. You can use the funds available in your Stars Account for both poker and Casino games.

No. Your current Stars Account can be used for both Casino games and poker.
